Is the server jar you wish to use not available on our control panel? We explain how to use your own server jar in this article.
Basic Information
Before you begin, it is useful to have and know the following:
- The server jar which you want to use;
- What java version the server jar requires.
You can continue to the steps below when you have the information above.
Upload server jar
- First, make sure that the server has been turned off;
- Delete an old file under files, called server.jar;
- Now upload your own server jar, and rename it to server.jar;
- Go to the tab start-up and select the right java version under "Docker Image";
- Start your server again.
Please note that problems can occur whenever you use your own server jar. We always recommend to create a back-up before you switch to your own server.jar.
There could be a virus in your own server jar, which can be used to hack your server. So please, use a safe server jar.
